Accreditation
The FMA is recognized to accredit organizations in Florida to provide activities approved for
AMA category 1 CME credit(s)TM. Currently the FMA accredits 59 organizations which provide CME for physicians in the local area – Florida and its contiguous states, Georgia and Alabama.
Organizations which plan to serve a national audience, physicians residing outside Florida and its contiguous states, must contact the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to pursue national accreditation.
Organizations must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the CME rules and requirements before pursuing accreditation. The FMA typically requires an organization to participate in at least 10-15 hours of joint sponsorship before accepting an application for accreditation.
