Medical Economics
The Department of Medical Economics oversees the relationships between the FMA and health insurers (both private and public) and monitors state and federal initiatives that impact physicians and their practices. We lobby, when necessary, to prevent the implementation of statutes, rules and regulations that will negatively impact you and your practice. Our staff advocates on behalf of our members to Medicare, Medicaid and managed care organizations across Florida. In addition, we have a Registered Medical Coder on staff to help assist with insurance denials and questions due to coding issues. Whatever your reimbursement issue, we are here to help.
