Committee on Patient Safety

The Committee on Patient Safety (CPS) was established under the FMA Council on Medical Economics in September 2003. The Committee is charged with the task of researching the spectrum of electronic medicine and to be proactive in addressing how electronic medicine will affect physicians, patients and the delivery of health care. The CPS will strive to educate Florida physicians on electronic information applications available, and to work with state agencies and private entities as they investigate new electronic technologies to reduce patient errors.
